I Can See The Future

The deepest secrets of the Eye and its beholder

Isn’t It A Pity

Isn’t it a pity
Now, isn’t it a shame
How we break each other’s hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other’s love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn’t it a pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we’re all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can’t hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn’t it a pity

Isn’t it a pity
Isn’t is a shame
How we break each other’s hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other’s love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn’t it a pity

Forgetting to give back
Isn’t it a pity
Forgetting to give back
Now, isn’t it a pity

(6 times, fade the 6th)
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity

Artist-George Harrison

Album-All Things Must Pass(1970)

Composed,sung and written by-George Harrison

It was the beginning of the 70’s and hard hitting rock was taking over from rock and roll, The Beatles had disbanded and each of them were pursuing their solo careers. At that time the ‘Quiet Beatle’ produced a gem of a song ‘Isn’t it a pity’ in his album. This song is one of the most simple and straightforward song. But its main characteristic is its honesty. The writer presents his view very honestly and in very simple words and takes the listener back to its roots. We as listener go deep into the labyrinth of life with only Harrison’s voice and words to guide us, we go to the centre of labyrinth and look at the basics i.e love which we forgot, then we pity our own existence.
