I Can See The Future

The deepest secrets of the Eye and its beholder

Isn’t It A Pity

Isn’t it a pity
Now, isn’t it a shame
How we break each other’s hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other’s love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn’t it a pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we’re all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can’t hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn’t it a pity

Isn’t it a pity
Isn’t is a shame
How we break each other’s hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other’s love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn’t it a pity

Forgetting to give back
Isn’t it a pity
Forgetting to give back
Now, isn’t it a pity

(6 times, fade the 6th)
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity

Artist-George Harrison

Album-All Things Must Pass(1970)

Composed,sung and written by-George Harrison

It was the beginning of the 70’s and hard hitting rock was taking over from rock and roll, The Beatles had disbanded and each of them were pursuing their solo careers. At that time the ‘Quiet Beatle’ produced a gem of a song ‘Isn’t it a pity’ in his album. This song is one of the most simple and straightforward song. But its main characteristic is its honesty. The writer presents his view very honestly and in very simple words and takes the listener back to its roots. We as listener go deep into the labyrinth of life with only Harrison’s voice and words to guide us, we go to the centre of labyrinth and look at the basics i.e love which we forgot, then we pity our own existence.

Kiska Rasta Dekhe

Kiska Rasta Dekhe Aye Dil Aye Saudaai
Meelon Hai Khamoshi Barson Hai Tanhaee
Bhooli Duniya Kabhiki Tujhe Bhi Mujhe Bhi
Phir Kyon Aankh Bhar Aayee

Koi Bhi Saaya Nahin Raahon Mein
Koi Bhi Aayega Na Baahon Mein
Tere Liye Mere Liye Koi Nahin Ronewala
Jhoota Bhi Naata Nahin Chaahon Mein
Tu Hi Kyon Dooba Rahe Aahon Mein
Koi Kisi Sang Mare Aaisa Nahin Honewala
Koi Nahin Jo Yoon Hi Jahan Mein Baate Peer Parayee
Kiska Rasta Dekhe Aye Dil Aye Saudaai…

Tujhe Kya Beeti Hui Raaton Se
Mujhe Kya Khoi Hui Baaton Se
Sej Nahin Chita Sahi Jo Bhi Mile Sona Hoga
Gai Jo Dori Chhooti Haathon Se
Lena Kya Toote Hue Saathon Se
Khushi Jahan Maangi Toone Wahin Mujhe Rona Hoga
Na Koi Tera Na Koi Mera Phir Kiski Yaad Aai
Kiska Rasta Dekhe Aye Dil Aye Saudaai…

Movie-Joshilaa(1973)

Music-R.D.Burman

Lyrics-Saahir Ludhiyanavi

Singer-Kishore Kumar

Song of a prisoner thinking about his past life and the road ahead sung by the magnificient Kishore Kumar as you see Dev Anand in pain and agony howling in the beautiful voice. we watch the protagonist’s past in flashes where a beautiful Rakhi captures your imagination and you feel mesmerized by the natural beauty, cut! the gloomy Dev Anand again singing through the dark depths of his prison cell. It is more than a song it is the story of a wrongly imprisoned guy thinking about what all he had and how it was taken away, how everything changed. Saahir sahab does it again as he brings R.D.Buraman’s tunes to life.
